Made It To Guangzhou!

Mom and I arrived in Guangzhou on Friday, Sept 18 at 11:20 a.m......that's 11:20 p.m. on Thursday night in Indiana. The 14-hour flight to Seoul wasn't our favorite thing to do....but again, we made it just fine. We are staying at the Marriott China Hotel in Guangzhou on the 17th floor. Guangzhou has a population of 12 million people.....that's BIG!
We were met at the airport by a hotel staff person who took us to our driver.....very easy! Our adoption agency Guangzhou coordinator's name is David and we also met him today. He is very nice and we look forward to becoming friends.
Mom and I opted to get the upgrade to the executive floor of the hotel so that we could have access to an executive lounge area that is always stocked with snacks. I think this will be nice to take Caroline there so we can sit on the floor and play.....the lounge even as a Wii......perhaps someone will teach me how to play.
As soon as we arrived in our room, the crib was delivered. It's really coming true! Monday at 2:15 p.m. I get to meet my daughter for the very first time! That's Monday morning at 2:15 a.m. Indiana time.
OK, time to rest. We are both pooped.

So glad you arrived safely! I am thrilled to read your update! I've been thinking of you often and praying for your upcoming Gotcha Day ... yes, it really IS coming true! Can't wait to hear more! What did you think of Asiana? We took that route and the Coopers are thinking of taking it in a few months.

Chris my friend, I have cried many happy tears for you along this journey, but this one got me the most.

I think I may set my cellphone to beep at 2:15 a.m. :)
